Year of the Dragon

And so, the year of the Dragon begins. To honour this I've made 3 dragons for my friends.

For my neighbour and dearest friend Judy, I've made a small, cute dragon with wings in traditional oriental style - red and yellow with golden thread embellishment. This cutie pie now resides on a cozy shelf.

Итак, год Дракона полноправно вступил в силу! По этому поводу у меня сшились 3 дракончика в подарок моим друзьям.

Для Джуди, моей соседки и другу я сделала маленького крылатого дракончика в китайском стиле. Красный с желтым и отстрочен золотыми нитками. Вот такой малыш поселился у нее на полке.

The other two were made from one pattern. Simple,yet adorable. One is traditional – red and gold, the other– eccentric – green with an apple print. Like a horse with apple (untranslatable Russian folklore).

Еще два были сшиты по другой выкройке. Простые и очаровательные. Один традиционный — красный с золотым и другой — необычный — в яблочко. Ну чем не конь в яблоках.
